I’ve been using Zelle and PayPal for deposits, and while the money shows up right away which is great, the first time I tried it the bank flagged it like it was some kind of scam. I got calls to “confirm” and even felt like they were trying to talk me out of using it, which was really annoying. I get that they’re just doing their job, but it felt more like a hassle than protection. Thankfully, that only happened the first time, after that it’s been smooth sailing. The speed and convenience are solid, but that first experience definitely left a bad taste.
